"Hey James, are you coming? We're waiting," Mr. Brown called.
"Yes, I will be right there," was the reply.
"Papa, when will the war end?" Mary asked.
"Soon I hope," Mr. Brown replied sadly.
"We need to trust the Lord," said Mrs. Brown.
"Are we all here now?" Mr. Brown asked as James joined the family.
"Yes," everyone replied.
"Let's say grace," and Mr. Brown began to pray.
"Dear heavenly Father, thank You for our food that You have given us. Lord, we pray that You would helps us not to fear. In Your Holy name of Jesus, " and all the family said "AMEN!"
"Let's eat!" said two year old William.
After dinner, when everybody was asleep, the parents were talking in their room.
"Honey, I'm afraid of the war and for the children," Mrs. Brown's voice was filled with worry.
"Why for the children?" Mr. Brown asked.
"Every night Mary asks you when the war will end."
"Our family just needs to trust the Lord," was the reply.
"Yes, I guess we do."
"Let's pray, okay?" Mr. Brown suggested.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Brown spent some time pouring out their hearts to the Lord.
... to be continued.
