This is the last week of the Out of the Ordinary October! (So far I have received no stories for this, so if you still wish to send in stories, this week is your last chance to do so.) This week write about the coolest restaurant ever, whether one you've been to or one you made up. Ever heard of the Rainforest Cafe? Check this link and perhaps it will give you some ideas on cool restaurants! Have fun!
This week, write a story about a day in the life of.. and you get to choose whose life and write about what their day looks like! For example, perhaps you would like to write about a day in the life of George Washington and it's from the perspective of a little boy, who is a drummer boy for the American army. Or maybe you want to invite readers to take a peak into what a day in your life looks like. Whatever you choose, have fun!
Just a reminder: you can still submit stories for that first two topics, as well as the other topics throughout the month of October. We are over halfway through the month, so time is running out! :)
This week, write a story about an unforgettable character that you have either personally met or from a book, movie, or audio drama. Some questions to think about in considering and writing about an unforgettable character are: What person have I met or seen that I'll always remember? What was it that made me remember this person so well? Was it their personality? If any of you have seen the movie Ace Wonder, Virgil Logan (the Librarian) could be considered an unforgettable character. Why? His creepy, deep voice, his odd features and his very interesting personality. Or if any of you have heard the audio drama In Freedom's Cause, William Wallace could easily be an unforgettable character because of his bravery, strength, faith in God and passion for the cause he was fighting for.
Keeping all these things in mind, enjoy writing a story about an unforgettable character!
Note: Because I received no stories last week, I'm allowing you all to submit stories on any of the posted topics throughout the month of October. :)
We finally have a winner of the emotion writing contest! I'm sorry it took so long! Special thanks to judges: Mrs. Alyssa Ciampi, Emily T. and Anthony L.!

And remember, if you decide to participate in the Out of the Ordinary October, please send your stories in on Saturday (or if you can't make it Saturday, Sunday works just as well!) Remember this is to push us to write more regularly, with fun topics! :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
P.S. On Bethany's page there is an extra story. It's part two of her one story called A Well Known Story.
This weeks topic is funniest childhood memory! :) Write a story (either fiction or non-fiction) about the funniest childhood memory from your life, someone else or a made up character. I have written a story about the funniest childhood memory (or close to it) from my life as an example and you can see it on my page. :)
Those of you who are participating in this, please have your stories edited and sent to me by Saturday, October 10th.
Weebly has set up a new system for those editing the site and I just found a lot of un-approved comments. Just so you all know, they have all been approved and I have changed the commenting approval setting to open. So if you commented, whether it was recently or earlier this year, and you didn't ever see it published, it is now published. Also, when you comment, you might want to check the box that says something like receive following comments by email. That way you can stay updated and if someone asks you a question, you won't miss it! :) (Like I tend to do! :/ )
Wow, it's been awhile since I've been on here! Sorry about that! Lots of great stuff this month, so lets dig in!
The new October calendar is up! And when I say new, I mean new! :) This month we are doing something out-of-the-ordinary. On the calendar for each week there is a writing topic. The topics are: -Funniest Childhood memory -An Unforgettable Character -A Day in the Life Of... -and The Coolest Restaurant Ever!
You have to write a story, whether fiction or non-fiction, on the assigned topic for every week in October and then submit your story at the end of the week on Saturday. This should help with the motivation for writing and push us to write on different topics! :) The idea is to have enough stories by the end of October to post throughout the months of November and December. I'll still be posting stories that I have from others this month and posting challenges again as well! I will also be sending out friendly weekly reminders, with ideas for each topic!
Let me know if you have any questions on this new routine!
