Paisley: What does your writing schedule usually look like (when do you usually write)?
Mikal: Whenever I can.
Pearl: I write whenever I have a story idea and creativeness!
Jazzy: I don't force myself to write in a routine. Although if I did, it would be very hard to find time to write in my family! =)
I normally play the piano. I love playing and listening to "The Moonlight Sonata", which always ends up being a very sad story-- either a very dramatic love story, or a very mournful tale of two sisters… I do try to write often, but as I said, I don't have much time to do so. :'(
Faith: I honestly don't have one(sheepish grin). I just write when I have time and am pulled to do so.
Liberty: Mine is probably the same as Faith's. Really it's whenever I can get to Faith's computer.
Kate: I don't have a schedule for my writing. (I usually just write when inspiration strikes and imagination is strong). When I do have a regular project I do 1/2 hour to an hour on the computer everyday I can (I don't usually write on Sundays) and write notes and snatches of the story in my notebook in between. That's not counting daydreaming about it time while I do other work. ; )
Holly: My writing schedule would probably look like the status of a blog that is rarely looked at! :P Then further down the status you'll see some more ups than downs, but then it goes back to mostly downs or tiny hills. :) (Sorry if I just lost y'all!) I have a hard time sticking to a schedule (as most of you probably know by now!) It's better if I write when inspiration flows the most. Some times that can be everyday, other times it could just be once a month.
Paisley: What genre do you enjoy reading the most?
Mikal: Any kind of fiction.
Pearl: I like reading historical fiction probably the most!
Jazzy: I have gotten into a little phase, and have been looking into a ton of historical fiction! I just read the book "From the Dark to the Dawn", by Alicia Willis, and LOVED the way it was in ANCIENT ROME! I have this weird thing with Rome and Greece. :)
Although I do love historical fiction, I have enjoyed many fantasy categorized novels. C. S. Lakin is one of the best authors I have read from! I love symbolism, especially Spiritual matters! Wars between Angels and Demons? I'm reading the book "Cloak of the Light" by Chuck black right now, and I'm loving it!!
I enjoy dramatic, long, written-by-a-christian-author, and well written novels with sound doctrine! :)
Faith: Historical, fiction, really anything. :) I sometimes prefer true stories though.
Liberty: Really anything. I'll read anything I can my hands on! :)
Kate: Historical fiction and select fantasy and sci-fi.
Holly: My most favorite reading genre is historical fiction! Especially if it is in the Scottish covenanters time (cheers for William Wallace anyone?), persecuted Christians in Rome, or the American revolution! :)
Paisley: What is your all time favorite book to read just for fun?
Mikal: I don't have one.
Pearl: Oh, hard question because there are many books I love!
Currently my dad is reading The City of Ember to me. It is very fun. I also very much enjoy The Chronicles of Narnia!!!! I would read all of the books over and over!!!!!!
Jazzy: Paisley, you are a slayer. One is too little a number for all the books I love and read for fun! Ha ha!
I can only name so many, but I must say… Yeah, all my books are my favorite… wait… yeah. That's right. Have any of y'all heard of Elsie Dinsmore? It's a classic series by Martha Finely… they're really good. I'm not saying they're quite challenging reading, but they are still very well written.
I love the Gates of Heaven Series, From the Darkness to the Dawn, The Kingdom series and the Knights of Arrethrae, Anne of Green Gables, The Michael Vey books, and all the books that I can't name at the moment.
Faith: Oh dear. Um, Titus, Comrade of the Cross is one. There are so many though.
Liberty: Probably the Chronicles of Narnia. Or the Hidden Hand. I don't know why they named it that, it's not like someone cut off someone else's hand and hid it!
Kate: Hmm... Right now it's "Gift from the Storm" by Rebekah A. Morris, but it's always changing. : )
Holly: Oh boy, that's hard! I have lots of books that I return to for a fun read! Although, after thinking about it I would have to say Little Women, From the Dark to the Dawn, Be Thou My Vision and any of the Baker Family series books.
