All of the above. : ) But mostly to encourage people to love God and others better.
Oooo, hard questions...it really depends on what story I am working on.
I can safely say that I want all my stories to end up being encouraging (while being challenging). Thrill is usually my goal as opposed to making them cry (I don't like doing that...it makes me feel depressed and guilty! Hee, hee!), and I don't usually write purely entertaining stories unless I am co-writing one with my goofy brother...then I can't resist it! : D
What about you, Jazzy?
Holly, do we have a new authors' schedule? I have a long story already written, so just email me when you need a story, and I can fill in very easily. Just let me know!
I must say, that I want my writing to be wholly for God's glory… but as a bonus, I love to make people cry! LOL, because I love to read books that make my cry. :)
But, as always, on one condition: That it's a bitter sweet ending. Example: a girl loses her brother, but gains her sister.
That was a pretty bad example, but you get the idea. You have to be able to smile at the end, but with tears in your eyes! :) :)
I'm exploring new moods, too! Like right now, I'm working on a thriller for my blog. I have written 'couple inspirational stories, and challenging stories for my blog as well. :)
Oh, and another question, What time era is the best for you, authors?
Or do you prefer fantasy time, like in between Bible and Medieval? 1800's or 2568's??
Ha, ha! I know what you mean about bittersweet endings. I had a character die for the first time in one of my stories ("The Book of Dreams"), and I felt really bad about doing it. ; )
I loooove the medieval time period. I don't usually do fantasy with made up animals and types of people, but I love setting up my own kingdom and customs. : ) Pioneer is so fun, and the first half of the 20th century is really great too. : )
I agree with you on the kingdom/custom stuff! That's what I do for a lot of the stories I write… It just add the more character. :) :)
I love writing about horses, but it's so hard to find a really good original idea, you know?
I love the idea of time travel though… I don't know why, but I just do. :P Like, what I imagine for time travel, is you're traveling through the Bible. That would be epic. :)
Oh, yes! Time travel would be so awesome! Your next project for 2015? ; )
Ha ha! Maybe, Kate… we shall see. :)
Daughter of the King
Ha, ha! Looking forward to it... ; )
A special place for everyone to join in on the authors conversation!
