Kate: Do you prefer stories in first person or third person?
Jazzy: Ha, Kate, this is a really hard one… I think I like writing in 3rd person best, but I'm trying to experiment with other styles. :)
Holly: Hmmm.... I find it easier for me to write first person. I am able to express my thoughts better! :) Although I do write third person pretty often!
Paisley: I think that I prefer third person stories, but I like stories that make me feel like the protagonist, which I think would be first person stories...so I'm not really sure!
Kate: Do you like it when stories have the words "the end" or not?
Jazzy: As for "the end" or not… if you are aiming for an old fashion, more classic story, "the ends" are great! But if you're wanting more of a modern and filling ending, then no, at least that's my opinion. :D
Holly: I like "the end" because it makes it more complete. It's finished; it's done.
Paisley: As for "The End", I think I agree with Jazzy on this!
Kate: What genre do you think needs more good stories written in it?
Holly: I think maybe motivational stories. You know, stories that move people to build more character, change a part of their lives, convict them or encourage them to go outside their comfort zone and reach out to others! I believe there is plenty of Christian historical fiction and novels out there!
Paisley: I think that there is a lack in my opinion of good boy Christian fiction picture books. I think that there is a lot of good, encouraging fiction geared toward girls, but not quite as much for the boys! That is my thought as I just asked my little brother if we have a lot of "boy" books, and he said that we don't. That is my thought on what genre needs more books in it.
Kate: Do you know of any good illustrators that have really good prices to go with? : )
Paisley: My Grammy has illustrated some short picture books for a school in the past, so if you're looking for an illustrator I don't know if she would be interested, Kate!
Holly: I don't! I wish I did know of some, but since I do my own drawing/art I really don't need an illustrator.
Anna and Bethany, do you have any thoughts?
